we all know the pink starburst is the most special in the pack. if you don't believe me... ask the internet. because the internet created this meme years ago and it took social media by storm.
so when starburst decided to relaunch their all pink pack's this year, we hung onto coattails of the original meme to make everyone feel like a #PinkStarburst.
it all started with a merchandise line where you could stock up on pink swag to say it loud & say it proud. designed by the one and only erin roberston, our merch line made a splash in the news and was picked up by bustle, buzzfeed, teen vogue, cosmo and adweek.
as a writer, i had heaps of fun writing the copy on this website! everything from the product names & product pages to the FAQs were riddled with our pink starburst tone of voice: witty, cheeky, but never rude. i even worked with our clothing designer to give unique style tips for every item!

to keep the momentum, we used owned social channels and partnered with influencers to pay back the medium that put pink starburst on the map: memes. we like to think that as a result, the internet became a little more pink and a little more special — especially in the comment section of @beigecardigan's instagram.
